Love is in the hair.
Hey babes, I thought I would share some of my hair beauty faves quickly. I get a lot of DMs about hair whenever I post something having to do with it, so I’ve done my best to answer some of those questions in this post!

First of all, these are the everyday shampoo and conditioner that I use. I use the Paul Mitchell Color Protect brand to make sure that I am taking care of the color of my hair between washes. My amazing hairstylist recommended this one for me. I really do think that when it comes to taking care of your hair, splurging on shampoo and conditioner is okay. Quality is super important. I also use It’s a 10 miracle leave in plus keratin after my shower. This stuff is amazing and leaves my hair feeling soft and silky afterwards. I have linked all of these products in this blog post! Make sure that when buying these products, you buy it from the source or from your hair stylist because sometimes when you purchase these from drugstores, they can be watered down or not up to the quality they are supposed to be. I always brush through with my wet brush since it keeps from snagging on the wet strands. Quickly on this topic of high quality product, I do want to warn you to look into any brands or companies that reach out to you on social media. I have been DMed multiple times about using certain hair products and I’ve done my research on some of them and they have extremely horrible effects on your hair, so make sure you look into it before using anything!

These are some of the products that I use when styling my hair. I honestly style my hair maybe 3 times a week maximum, and these products are great for doing so. This Batiste dry shampoo is my favorite because it never feels greasy or heavy, this one is also in the dark shade so it sprays on dark and you don’t see the little white flecks that you sometimes see with other dry shampoos. This Beach Babe texturizing spray is amazing when you have super clean hair and need to add some more texture at the roots or for braids. The L’Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray is amazing because it sprays super evenly and has a fine mist. It doesn’t make the hair feel crunchy or clumpy at all, but still holds the curls perfectly.
I added in these accessories because I absolutely love that scrunchies have made a comeback. These specific ones are from Tilly’s. I love that they can add a little detail to any hairstyle and they don’t pull on the strands the way a normal hair tie does. I use these claw clips when I’m curling my hair to separate the sections out and hold the rest of my hair out of the way.

These are my favorite curlers! I have one that is Helen of Troy and the other ones are Hot Tools. These curlers are the most amazing ones I’ve ever used. I always had trouble finding curlers that would work on my hair and help to hold the curl; now that I’ve used these ones, I can’t use anything else. Remember that they are professional grade so they reach very high temperatures, just make sure you aren’t putting the heat up all the way and don’t hold it on your hair for too long, because you don’t want to burn your lovely locks. I always just section my hair into an upper half and lower half and curl each one separately then brush through with my fingers. My awesome hairstylist gave me the greatest tip ever about curling your hair: don’t curl all the way down to the bottom, leave a little bit out. This gives you much more of a beach wave look. It makes your curls look much more sophisticated! I will see if I can maybe film a curling tutorial to put on here at some point.
I had so much fun getting together with my amazing hairstylist, @hairbytorirae. She had these super fun looks that we worked on and I’m thinking next time we get together, maybe she could do a Q + A with hair questions if you guys would like that! She has colored my hair for the past few years and I would never go to anyone else. I do not have extensions, as that is a question I often get, but find yourself the right hairstylist and they can do amazing things for your hair!! If you have any other questions, feel free to slide into my DMs but I hope this helped a little!
