November Blessings – My heart is so full

I go back and forth between writing personal posts and writing posts about decor, beauty, etc. I honestly kinda just write when I feel like writing things and for now, that works for me. I am sorry for the inconsistency, though!

This post is to give thanks. As we wrap up the end of October and head into November, there have been so many things that I’ve been reminded of. I’ve seen some friends and acquaintances fall in love, some get their hearts broken, I’ve seen some of their lives turned upside down due to tragedy, I’ve seen some get married, I’ve seen some start their own businesses and be successful, I’ve seen some lose jobs and have to start over. I’ve seen some move across the country, I’ve seen some start their new life with a beautiful baby of their own. I’ve seen some with great victories, some follow their dreams, some get their dreams crushed. Friendships succeeding, relationships failing, surprise endings, happy beginnings, I feel like so much humanity has passed in front of me, and for all of that, I am so thankful.

I am thankful, I am so so so thankful. If you’ve read any of my last posts, this year has been a year of ups and downs and while I don’t expect for that to stop anytime soon, I am thankful and I am blessed and I am here to say that this life is so so so beautiful. I wake up every single morning and thank God for a family that is healthy and loves me unconditionally. I am thankful for friends that are far beyond what I could have ever imagined. A job that I love, support in so many areas of my life, and the freedom to follow my dreams. I’m thankful for a roof over my head, the ability to go to Starbucks when I need a pick me up, a phone that I can call my loved ones on, and candles that smell like pumpkin spice. Just to name a few. I am so so so thankful and my heart is so full.

I think one of the greatest things we can do is wake up every single morning and begin naming things that we are thankful for. It sounds so cliché, but when you stop and really look around at everything, there is so much to be thankful for. The fact you can hear birds chirping, the ability to walk down the street on your own two feet, being able to see the gorgeous colors of a sunrise… some people dream of having the ability to do these things, and these are the things we sometimes take for granted.

I write this post because this has been a transformative year for me. I have not always been this optimistic and positive and grateful, but after seeing so much this past year and experiencing so much this past year, I needed to share this. Wherever you are in your life and whatever is going on in your life, remember that there are so many blessings around you. Remember that you are loved and supported and cared for and that no matter what, things will get better. One day you may wake up feeling like you are falling down a hole and the next you will realize that looking out of that hole is a beautiful blue sky up above and a gigantic amount of people reaching their hands down to pull you out.

Remember that He’s always been faithful and when something bad happens, sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise. The ones in your circle are there to lift you up and love you and be there for you through the good, bad, and ugly. Everything in life happens for a reason and every single day is a beautiful gift.

Try to do something in November to remind those around you how much they mean to you and how thankful you are. When you really sit down and start counting your blessings, it makes a world of difference and I promise every morning that you wake up, you will be happier and stronger and more thankful. I sure am. My heart is so incredibly full. It’s overflowing and I could cry tears of joy for this beautiful life I have been given.

I know this is a short post but I just had to share. Sending love and light to everyone.
